Kidscan Collection Volunteer
Help raise money for vital childhood cancer research
Are you confident and outgoing with a passion for fundraising? Do you love to socialise and meet people from all different backgrounds? Then we want to hear from you!
Volunteers are at the heart of our charity and we’re looking for a number of volunteers to help us carry out collections in locations across the UK.
Currently over 60% of childhood cancer survivors will suffer life-limiting side effects caused by treatments that damage their bodies. These side effects last a lifetime and can include hearing loss, organ & bone problems and even infertility.
We are one of the only charities in the UK solely dedicated to finding safe new treatments for children diagnosed with cancer. By finding therapies that only target cancerous cells, we hope to create a world where every child can survive cancer and thrive throughout adulthood without suffering side-effects.
As a collection volunteer you will help us to raise funds for vital research and will:
- Have the option of organising your own collection or attending one of many Kidscan collections throughout the year
- Receive support from your local fundraising group or the Kidscan Team to book collections of your choice
- Have the opportunity to process and record the donations received on the day
- Receive a full induction, training and support from the Kidscan Team
- Be supplied will all collection materials needed
- Be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses
- Have the opportunity to meet other volunteers at Kidscan events throughout the year and network through our dedicated Facebook Group.
Collection Volunteers must:
- Be passionate about fundraising and finding safe new treatments for children with cancer and supporting those affected by the disease.
- Be able to commit to a minimum of 2 hours per collection booked
- Be outgoing, trustworthy and able to run a collection on the day with minimal support
Fully flexible, this is a fantastic way to give something back without having commit to regular volunteering.
