Volunteer Content Creator – Hullo

 

Hullo are a national non-profit organisation. Conversation is at the heart of everything we do. You can chat with our volunteers about anything at all. 
Our phone lines are open every day from 9am to 9pm. 

You can chat with us as often as you like for as much as twenty minutes each time.

Hullo is all about safe, relaxed, everyday conversation. We’re not a medical or mental health organisation, counselling service or helpline. But we work in partnership with other charities and can refer you to them if you’re in need of specialist help and advice.

Key tasks/responsibilities of this role could include:

  1. Working alongside existing marketing team to set short and long-term targets
  2. Planning, creating and sharing content for website, blog and social media pages
  3. Contributing to our monthly newsletter
  4. Producing quality copy which will increase interest, engagement and brand awareness
  5. Posting in alignment with our brand history, ethos, target audience and guidelines
  6. Ensuring content is compliant with copyright and data protection laws
  7. Measuring and monitoring company website and social media traffic stats (use of data analytics)
  8. Using your own initiative to brainstorm and suggest inventive ways to drive traffic
  9. Maintaining consistency in frequency and quality of content- e.g., use of content calendar and awareness days
  10. Researching and learning from other successful organisations- e.g., Mind, Samaritans, Dogs Trust etc.

People will experience and knowledge of social media marketing, blog writing, graphic design, journalism or online industry trends would be preferable, but not essential!
