About Us

HOME is Manchester’s arts and entertainment venue for people from all walks of life to enjoy local, national and international theatre, cinema and visual art all under one roof.

Formed by the merger of two of Manchester’s best-loved arts organisations, our two theatre spaces are a platform for playful, daring, new and commissioned work. Our five screens light up with independent, challenging, provocative film. The gallery is home to the very best in contemporary art.

Our fabulous team of volunteers get involved across our programmes and activities here at HOME. Using their enthusiasm, knowledge and love of HOME, our volunteers help make our venue an exciting and welcoming space to visit and explore.

Volunteering at HOME

Many of our volunteers joined us at the very beginning when HOME opened in 2015 and have helped to shape our volunteer scheme. We’ve now got a team of over 50 volunteers who continue to help shape our venue by engaging further with our audiences and connecting us to communities across Manchester.

Volunteer roles at HOME can include supporting our art, cinema and theatre programme, engaging with our audiences at our varied events and festivals, supporting our engagement team with activities at HOME and across Manchester and seasonal activities across the year. Volunteer roles are flexible and our programme includes volunteer socials and events to get involved in!
